24 hours after Scheduling Surgery

· The Surgery Scheduler will send the initial request for medical clearance as a courtesy
​· Patients are responsible for obtaining their medical clearance if applicable. Patients are encouraged to contact their care team as soon as possible to ensure medical clearance is obtained in time for their scheduled surgery date.

3-5 business days after Scheduling Surgery

· The Billing Department will contact the patient's insurance company to verify surgery benefits, physician fees, and request authorization if needed.

7-10 Business Days After Scheduling Surgery

· The Billing Department will contact the patient with the estimated fees due for the physician and the facility.
· Patient is responsible for obtaining anesthesia fee(s)
